I have an HP, and when I connect to UAPublic, it says I have limited or no connectivity, and when I try to connect to UAWiFi, it says "windows is unable to connect to the selected network". And Im in the Science Library, and Ive been able to connect here before. Is there some way to register for WiFi?

Hi, is there a reason why UA WiFi is not available inside the Marshall building? I have class on the 5th floor and Ive never been able to connect to it, not UA Wifi or UA Public. Is it because the signal is just to weak to reach that part of campus and the 5th floor? Ive tried with a dell laptop and a macbook pro.

The bad news is that my WiFi no longer works. My Qwerk came originally with a zd1211 module that worked with my AirLink 101 AWLL3026. Both the build 1 and build 2 firmware downloads have p80211 and prism modules. Do you still have the zd1221 module, or will I have to figure out how to cross compile it from source?

I am able to connect to the Ua wifi network, but it only stays connected for about ten minutes, and then I cant go anywhere. I have no problem using Ua public for internet access, but my torrent software only works on Ua Wifi. Could this be a port issue? Or could it just be where I am located? Apache-Santa Cruz Hall?

Yes it does. It has native support for WEP, WPA Personal and Enterprise & WPA2 Personal and Enterprise. I think the MHD router uses WPA2, and if that is indeed the case then its something with the enterprise part of WPA2, because I was connected fine to the MHD router last week.

The certificates list in vista is about half of what it is in XP however the "Equifax Secure Certificate Authority" option is still there. Thats the one Ive been trying to use with no luck. Its also the only Equifax option in vista whereas xp has around 4

Unless the Zune HD supports security certificates It probably does not, it wont work on UAWifi. It should work on UAPublic but you need to use a browser and accept the security warning that shows up when you try going to a site. Generally, only port 80, which is for web browsing, will be open on UAPublic so if you are trying to use a special feature like a music store, that might noit work.

Juste pour situer le contexte, mais tu fais des tests avec ton routeur perso?

Normalement tu fais générer la clé sur ton routeur puis tu la copie dans ta configue. Cest bien ce que tu fais?

Si ca fonctionne sans cryptage je suppose que ton dhcp est ok autant du point de vue du serveur que du poste de travail.

le problème avec les assistants cest que lon ne sait jamais vraiment ce quils font..... Essaie de configurer ta connexion en ligne de commande avec iwconfig puis de mettre une ip statique avec ipconfig.

Vérifie aussi les paramètres de sécurité de ton ton routeur.


edit : ce soir je vais tester une carte wireless avec un routeur Linksys sur une Suse 9 pro alors si jamais je te donne un retour si tu nas rien trouvé.

Chez moi je nai pas de problème pour me connecter sur mon réseau ouvert non crypté...
Dès que je veux aller sur un réseau crypter sur mon lieu de travail par exemple, je narrive jamais à obtenir une ipadresse.
la clé est bien entendue généré sur le routeur et après copié sur mon assistant KwifiManager ou Yast . Au niveau du routeur tout est ok
je ne connais pas encore la commande iwconfig...je vais essayer avec cette commande et te tiens au courant

Mais lorsque que je suis connecté en WiFi sur le réseau dentreprise, je ne peux pas accéder aux sites extérieurs ça marche bien sur les site intranet.
"En vrai", avec un navigateur sur un PC, lorsquon tape une adresse externe, il y a une popup dauthentification pour que le proxy autorise laccès vers le monde libre.
Mais sur le Pré, point. Les URLs ne sont pas trouvées, et bien sûr aucunes des applications de lApp Catalogue ne fonctionne.

Je nai trouvé aucune configuration possible pour spécifier un quelconque proxy...

has anyone gotten UAWiFi to work with vista yet? I spent the better part of an hour today trying to connect but was unable to even with the correct security settings in place. Since vista is still in beta, im unable to determine if this is a problem with vista, UAWiFi, or me setting up the configuration.
